SATURDAY 23 APRIL 2016 9am-12pm
Cardwell Bush Telegraph, the oldest building in the North, celebrates the joining of the North Coast Railway from the south and the north in 1924.
Displays in the telegraph office and museum shed tell stories of the construction of the line, and the changes the railway brought. War-time troop trains and the bustling refreshment rooms of that era are remembered.
Displays include railway equipment and stories from the men who worked here.
Historic Cardwell Station is also just across the street.
