Cardwell’s History Quilted

June 15, 2017 By Dianne Smith

Quilt - taken 7.6.2017 This beautifully constructed 150th Commemorative Quilt depicts Cardwells history and was presented to the Cardwell community for its 150th anniversary celebrations in 2014. The quilt now takes pride of place as you enter the J C Hubinger Museum.

Visit the J C Hubinger Museum to admiring the commemorative quilt, then make the most of your visit and view other exhibition spaces on display such as Cardwells past timber industry, history of the museums past life as the Cardwell Divisional Board, view an interactive  Word War One Honour Role which honours those from Cardwell and district who served in that war,  inspect the physical Marble Honour Role role located in the stage at the back of the museum and much more.

You’ll be welcomed to the museum by friendly volunteers with a wealth of information on Cardwells history and current happenings in town.
